Can I play Region 1 discs on a standard uk dvd player?

Sometimes it is possible, some Standard DVD players are hackable by a simple remote code or disc. Others require special programming or software tools and some even need soldering chip methods to defeat the region code. Either way, you can count on us for your multi-region modification to most makes of player.

Will I be able to play DIVX and other formats on a modified DVD Player?

No, if the player did not support this in the first place, it will not do so after the upgrade, this is for unlocking the region territory protection only!

Pioneer DVD Player Upgrades and Repairs :

RCE IMMUNE UPGRADES: RCE or Region Code Enhanced discs ask the player to report the region to match that of the disc. If the player reports that it is set to code-free or no particular region... then the above screen message will be displayed on the tv.
